Modern Slavery Event at CAFRE

CAFRE - Modern Slavery Event
Representatives from the Department of Justice and Migrant Help and the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority have met with members of the Agri-Food sector to raise awareness of modern slavery in Northern Ireland. Local business leaders were among the audience at the event, which was hosted by CAFRE, at Loughry College (Friday 30 June 2017).

The presentations highlighted how key professionals across the whole of society have a role to play in identifying and reporting modern slavery. The advice to anyone who suspects a case of human slavery is - Don't delay phone 999 in case of an emergency, call 101 about a general situation or call the modern slavery helpline on 0800 0121 700
